Today marks the day that Mario and his pals allied with the raving Rabbids. Nintendo and Ubisoft published a trailer showcasing some gameplay, and the numerous awards it’s received because its announcement in the Ubiosoft E3 press conference.

Though the team-up of Mario and the Rabbids seems unlikely, many were not surprised to see it circulated through E3 since it was accidentally shown via the official Japan Expo accounts prior to the popular event.

Since its announcement, the game has received a multitude of awards including over 50 E3 awards and nominations. It certainly has been popular as a result of unlikely alliance of this game’s protagonists, in addition to that the X-COM-like strategic gameplay.

Players that mayt get enough of the unexpected team-up are in luck. Just last week, ” Ubisoft announced that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is going to have a Season Pass which attracts new content — such as narrative DLC — to the game. The pass is out now, and also costs $19.99.
