Today, the publisher announced the game’s official name: Gintama Ranbu.
Gintama Ranbu (that tranlates as “Gintama Wild Dance“) will soon be published for PS4 and PS Vita in Japan, although an Asian launch with English subtitles will come for PS4 only.
The genre has also been declared, and itll be a “samurai fighting with action” game.
A couple of characters have also been formally confirmed: protagonist Gintoki Sakata, feminine heroine Kagura, also Shinpachi Shimura. As part of the show, we also have to observe the first 1080p screenshots of this game, showing Kagura and Shinpaci in action.
The game is based on the popular shonen manga series Gintama from Hideaki Sorachi, now serialized on Shonen Jump. It has continued since 2003, and has been adapted into an anime show that counts over 300 episodes, which debuted in 2006. It’s one of the hottest shonen franchises in Japan, together with names like Dragon Ball, Bleach along with Naruto. Multiple feature pictures (such as a live action one) along with OVA releases to the home video marketplace complete the film.
Here you can have a look at a few screenshots and character artwork. If you want to view more, it is also possible to see the first English trailer to the Asian marketplace.
