While the game needed a successful beta, it struggled to keep a substantial player foundation following it launched in May. A glance in the game’s servers showed me that the game is struggling to populate just a few lobbies, which is disappointing for game that’s simply a month or two old.
That isn’t to say Mirage: Arcane Warfare is a terrible game; I actually found a lot to enjoy it, and emphasized its strong parts in my critique. Torn Banner Studios is trying to expose this solid game to more individuals; this is why they declared now that Mirage: Arcane Warfare will temporarily be accessible free of tomorrow: September 6.
The game will soon be available beginning at 10am PT. Should you add the game to a library you may keep it. Following those 24 hours, then the game will drop in cost permanently from $29.99 to only $9.99. Even the Mirage: Arcane Warfare – Special Edition Upgrade, which gives players a free copy of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, cosmetic and equipment packs, the soundtrack, and electronic paintings and wallpapers, are also accessible as a $9.99 upgrade.
Fortunately, Torn Banner Studios also reassured its fans that the company is still doing good, even following Mirage: Arcane Warfare’s disappointing sales in the following announcement:
Mirage launch sales were poor. That sucked, and we all know it. Our firmso doing fine, and we’ll be able to continue to make amazing games later on. More than anything, we’re disappointed for those players that stuck by us and did purchase Mirage – but who’ve fought to find folks to play against. We want people to play with with the game we spent years earning. We’ve got faith that Mirage will get a larger audience nevertheless, so we’re being competitive about putting it into people’s hands…Give it a shot whenever it’s absolutely free! We expect to see you around the battlefield soon.
So, if you’ve been curious about Mirage: Arcane Warfare, but haven’t had the opportunity to take a look yet or have been turned off due to its sales, tomorrow would mostly likely be an excellent time to jump in and find out exactly what the game is all about.
