After Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana launched at the west, the Most Activity adventure game was supposed to simultaneously PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, along with PC. However, difficulties with the PC version forced publisher NIS America into delay this variant indefinitely while the group makes sure that the quality matches the standandards of PC gamers.

NISA published an upgraded statement concerning the advancements made in the PC version with a somewhat intriguing addition to this development group.

By incorporating Durante into the team, it’s most likely a safe bet that the PC edition of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will release in a state which fans will appreciate.

The writer writes:

After we postponed the release of Ys VIII on Steam, we achieved to Peter “Durante” Thoman for his experience, and we are delighted to report that he could discuss a few of his hours with our programmers last few weeks. We requested Durante for his assistance with the following for this title: CPU performance improvements, GPU functionality enhancements, and developing a system for enhancing and regulating framerate. We also received feedback to a shadow rendering issue from Durante that we are currently looking into.

The work has led to significant improvements in performance. Due to the simple fact that we’re getting this overwhelming variety of system problems from both also our testers and our internal QA Team, these issues will take time to fix. As previously stated in our statement, fixes in one area may lead so we must be methodical in our program of improvements and repairs. Besides developments in the game’s strategy, we are also currently updating, fixing, and enhancing the game text. This also needs a substantial amount because of the magnitude of this game and also our dedication to localizing the text into French and English.

The team concludes their statement by thanking the fans that are awaiting the PC launch of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana.

Furthermore, the PC release of this game will incorporate these upgrades.
