PC, PS4, Xbox One

As of early August, Tekken 7 had marketed 1.66 million copies. That number two weeks after has increased, exceeding two million copies.

The news comes through the game’so manager and producer, the one and only Katsuhiro Harada, who replied to a Twitter user with all the information.

The inquirer specifically mentions consoles rather than just all revenue. Having said that, it is unclear if Harada added PC sales or if that is only counting earnings on PlayStation 4 along with Xbox One. In accordance with  SteamSpy, the battling game has offered over 311,000 duplicates on PC.

Bandai Namco had previously placed expectations for the latest and ninth installment in the iconic fighting game collection of 2.1 million copies sold from the end of this financial year (March 31, 2018). It’so safe to bet that it will pass this amount (if it hasn’t already) by a really healthy margin. What this can mean to the show going forward remains to be seen, however its good to know   Tekken nevertheless has considerable presence in not only the fighting gaming marketplace, but the video games market as a whole.

Tekken 7, which launched back in June, can be found on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
