Xbox One

In a surprise statement from developer Bethesda, both key pillars of the studio — The Elder Scrolls and   Fallout — will probably be receiving their own previously-revealed Xbox One X updates now. Offering enhanced visuals throughout the board, Xbox One X owners can now play in 4K to get  Fallout 4 and   The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition.

However, what would you anticipate? As explained earlier this month, here would be the line-item updates for both games:

Fallout 4

  • Supports 4K Resolution
  • Increased features include:
    • Dynamic Resolution
    • Enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs
    • Improved God Ray effects
  • Supports 4K Resolution
  • Enhanced features include:
    • Dynamic Resolution

This implies that both Fallout 4 and   The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition will be joining the already released Xbox One X lineup with Bethesda, currently including   Dishonored 2, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, The Evil Within 2, along with  Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus.

The sole Bethesda adventure still in active development for Xbox One X enhancement support is DOOM, based on Microsoft’s curated list. Worth noting, the 4K textures are clocking in at 8 GB additional for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and   a whopping 19GB for   Fallout 4.
