Development group Atooi’s Nintendo Switch title, the Mutant Mudds Collection, became available earlier this month via the Nintendo eShop and the team is showing no signs of a recession entering 2018.
In a tweet by the firm’s creator, Jools Watsham, the team apparently has at least three names planned for Nintendo’s handheld-console hybrid 2018.
At least three Switch games intended for 2018! Keep your eyeballs secured here for more information soon.
As to what these titles are, we could only speculate. I’d love to watch Xeodrifter acquire some love on the console, it’s a magical little Metroidvania name which I must encounter about the PS Vita a few decades ago. I think the title would fit well alongside the Switch’s amazing collection of indie titles that pay homage to the classic Nintendo games which motivated them.
Many indie games like Kamiko and VOEZ have seen success on the Switch. Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap earnings on the Switch were higher than the rest of the platforms the name released on, along. It’ll be interesting to determine if more indie developers find the same success going into 2018 as more and more programmers jump on board.
If you wish to obtain a taste of that which Atooi can do, take a look at the Mutant Mudds Collection on Switch at this time, or if you’re willing to dust off your old PS Vita, why not start looking into Xeodrifter so you can see why it would fit so nicely on the console?
