A few days ago, we requested you to vote to your very best waifu and finest husbando of 2017, and always the turnout was excellent. It always makes me grin when a lot of you muster to support even a slightly crazy and tongue-in-cheek initiative such as this.
Well over a thousand of you voted for their favorite characters, including many popular choices, but also many that were certainly not mainstream, revealing just how diverse the tastes of our readers are. Without further ado, here are the results:
The vote for Best Waifu was close one of the two who have been deemed by far “best woman” by our subscribers. Ultimately, YoRHa 2B from NieR: Automata arrived on top. She was able to leave only a couple inches from our runner-up, Makoto Nijima from Persona 5. Dividing the hot android and the conflicted Student Council President that there have been only four votes.
Moving on to Greatest Husbando, votes have been a lot more distributed among several distinct candidates. The winners didn’t leave the remainder of the package behind up to one of the waifus, and also the gap between third and first was just seven votes.
The crown for Best Husbando belongs to Persona 5‘s Hero, or Ren Amamiya since he has only been named for the anime. Runner-up by Only a hair thinning is Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza 0 along with Yakuza Kiwami.
We should definitely offer a round of applause to Goro Majima, also from Yakuza, that set only two votes behind Kazuma Kiryu. Interestingly, the sum of those votes for Yakuza‘s duo of protagonists actually conquer the grand total to the man cast of Persona 5. Other honorable mentions are YoRHa 9S from NieR: Automata, Hyperlink from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Yusuke Kitagawa along with Ryuji Sakamoto from Persona 5, William from NiOh, along with B.J. Blazkowicz from Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus.
Of course, we shouldn’t forget all of the developers involved in the design of the a number of other characters that proved so popular amongst you all.
