PS4, Xbox One

Right now it’s still December 31st in the west, but in Japan it’s 2018. Three of the most relevant developers and publisher out of the archipelago of the climbing sun decided to welcome the New Year (that in Japan is basically the most important holiday there’s) using videos.

To start with, we get Bandai Namco, that set its most important developers facing a camera to want us all Happy Holidays and Happy New Year. We get 1 Kamehameha-style.

Arc System Works opted for a more conventional design, yet it wasn’t with no spin, with Guilty Gear series Director Daisuke Ishiwatari playing his electric guitar. We now get the tease of new games, and an “Arc System Works 30th Anniversary Festival” that’ll be held in May.

Last, but not least, is Koei Tecmo, that travelled with a completely different strategy and said farewell to 2017 by return into the veritable cornucopia of games that they released this year, starting from NiOh to   Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, there’s’s something for everyone. We get a nostalgic look in  Dead or Alive 5: The Last Round, which is ultimately going the way of the dodo this year, following seven year moves. When it isn’t a Guinness World Record, it ought to be.

It is possible to enjoy all the movies below. And because it’s nearly time, Happy New Year from us all at DualShockers, to you! May 2018 be a year of even far better games.
