PC, PS4, Switch, Xbox One

Payday 2 brought players the opportunity to collect together on elaborate heists throughout consoles and PC, and now these heists will soon be taken on-the-go using the forthcoming Switch version of the game once it arrives to the system following month.

During now’s Nintendo Direct Mini, Nintendo demonstrated that Payday 2 will launch for the Nintendo Switch for $49.99. Alongside the game’s launch on the Nintendo Switch (and giving players the first mobile version of the game), Nintendo also demonstrated a new character will be coming together with the Switch launch next month called Joy.

Joy is a “Japanese computer whiz” that comes packing a cool-looking LED mask and her own set of weapons and hacker skills, and should provide some exceptional approaches to players at  Payday 2 when she arrives using the Switch launch. Joy will be a timed-exclusive character that’s debuting on the Switch, but could come to other programs down the road.

In addition to this new character Joy, publisher 505 Games also confirmed the Switch version of Payday 2 will also include a neighborhood multiplayer alternative for the game in CRIME.NET, also will allow players to the same local network to join games and play together (though online choices will still be accessible for players with all the choice).
