Switch, Xbox One

In what is possibly the strangest story of the week, it appears that Minecraft players will soon have the ability to earn Xbox Live achievements while playing the game Nintendo Switch.

Patrick Maka was one of the first to notice this strange revelation over at which he tweeted a screenshot of this achievement out listing. Similar to the iOS along with Android versions of Minecraft, it seems that the Switch version will boast the very same accomplishments as another stage that the game has looked on.

Polygon was able to affirm by reaching out to Microsoft what Maka found. A representative from the company responded and stated:

“We can confirm that Minecraft players on Nintendo Switch will probably soon have the ability to earn achievements tied to Xbox Live after the Bedrock update is released. ”

Among the factors that created this situation possible was likely due to the simple fact that the Switch doesn’t have a achievement program attached to this console. The PS4, on the other hand, does not boast these accomplishments due to the usage of this console’s decoration system.

Once it does release all of you’ll have to do is login into your Xbox Live account on the Switch to begin earning those achievements.
