Laval is the very first Canadian college to win against the Heroes of the Dorm championship, each bringing the tournament back for their school, as well as covering their own tuition. They also grabbed the competition, not dropping just one game in every one of their series against the University of Kentucky and at the Grand Finals against the underdog, University at Buffalo.

After attaining such a feat, Team Captain Jérome “Earth” Levesque said, “for many years, it was only a US team, not one Candian team in the top four, and now we only won Dorm, not just the best four. It had been an Awesome Heroes of the Dorm”

Throughout the conclusion of the championship, Université Laval was a favored to win because the number two seed. It definitely showed in their play as they stuck with the pro Heroes of the Storm meta instead of a few of the crazier compositions like the Cho’gall appearance from Cal Poly.
