Throughout Take-Two’s fiscal conference call for its financial year ended on March 31st, Chief Executive Officer Strauss Zelnick announced a new sales landmark for Grand Theft Auto V.
We discovered that the game has passed 95 million units shipped at March 31st, 2018, after the launch of the Premium Online Edition.
As usual, Grand Theft Auto Online surpassed the publisher’s expectations during the past fiscal quarter and remains its main contributor for recurring consumer spending (Basically microtransactions for those who aren’t acquainted with the company language).
The previous shipment milestone, in over 90 million units, was declared just in February, while another in 85 million units was unveiled in November. This means that the game was promoting approximately five million units every three weeks, which is bonkers.
Grand Theft Auto V is currently accessible for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. It was originally launched in September 2013 for both PS3 and Xbox 360, followed by a launching on PS4 and Xbox One in November 2014, also around PC in April 2015.
