It’s nearing the end of this Sanrio-themed Japanese splatfest tournament, and the final splattening will soon be taking place this weekend to Splatoon 2 players from Japan. The concluding faceoff will probably be between Hello Kitty and My Melody, and the loser (in accordance with my head-canon, at least) will be sacrificed to the grandeur of those inky gods of Splat.

Or something like this.

The splatfest will be happening from now, Saturday June 9 at 15:00 JST, until Sunday, June 10. While the North American and European players got a chance to determine which Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle was best turtle, Japanese players make to do the same with all Sanrio characters. Many would recognize Hello Kitty right away, but the Sanrio line comes with numerous adorable and cuddly figures, such as My Melody that the …gangster bunny? Cool.

In any event, both figures were Pearl selections, therefore darling Pearl was gracious enough to give My Melody into Marina to ensure that she could still participate. Smart money is on the widely known Hello Kitty, however, anything can happen in a splatfest…

My Melody beat Pompompurin for a place in the finals, in which she sits comfortably as she awaits a shot at the summit. Hi Kitty unsurprisingly conquer Cinnamoroll, and now, the timeless and beloved cat will fight Slim Shady that the Rabbit to see once and for all who is the cutest. Such as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle collaboration, numerous Sanrio-themed t-shirts and outfits accessible both for real life wear and in-game Inklings are offered today. Japanese players, it’s ’s time to select a side and do fight!

Splatoon 2 is accessible now on Nintendo Switch. You can grab the game from Amazon right now.
