You may not have expected to find a game at which you can play with a shark in this years E3, however Maneater wished to change that. Developed by Blindside Studios and in collaboration with Tripwire Interactive, the title got a statement trailer that you could watch below and a few screenshots.
Maneater is an open world action name that’s also one player only experience. It hosts RPG components and enables players to swim round the sea from the southern US Gulf Coast while fighting against other creatures, people and other creatures of the deep oceans. As a shark with full freedom to go where you want you can enter the rivers and streams, or simply hang around at the open waters.
There is a story behind the game until you begin to think about this as some sort of fun sandbox. By enabling the bitter shark to feed anything players are able to evolve specific body parts to enhance how those components operate. There’s many different stat driven systems in place too that lets you customize the shark to suit your play style.
Maneater aims to induce the sensation of playing a shark into new heights seemingly and was swimming back in 2017 in which an ancient accessibility trailer landed on the official YouTube channel. Tripwire Interactive already announced Treacherous Skies, the Summer Sideshow event for Killing Floor 2 at E3 2018. Blindside Studios will be the team supporting Depth which was a multiplayer name that featured sharks.
Maneater is expected for PC and can launch into Early accessibility but no launch date has been shown besides “coming soon”.
