For a company that is apparently so behind on getting their internet infrastructure right, Nintendo continues to be hitting it out of the park when it comes to supporting its games with added content. Only yesterday Nintendo announced it will continue to offer free upgrades such as Splatoon 2 through 2018, including six extra months of free content than initially promised. Continuing this trend, Nintendo has announced today it is going to add both Koopa Troopa and Blooper into the upcoming title Mario Tennis Aces this summer.

While this news would surely be earth-shattering if Nintendo announced that both figures were coming into Super Smash Bros.. Ultimate. it’s still significant in its own right. For starters, Mario Tennis Aces is essentially balanced like a fighting game– every character has their own strong suits and their very own weak points. For example, characters such as Yoshi have tons of speed, though, can be calmed with lesser characters such as Bowser. Furthermore, even characters with similar attributes feel different to control, as significant characters like Bowser and Chain Chomp justify exceptionally different play styles.

For those willing to get onto the court that the wait is nearly over as Mario Tennis Aces will be released for the Nintendo Switch on June 22nd. As mentioned previously, Koopa Troopa and Blooper will arrive at the game in July and August respectively.
