Back in August of this past year, Dodge Roll Games promised an extra pair of downloadable content for the roguelike shot Enter the Gungeon, titled “Advanced Gungeons & Draguns. ” After a very long wait, Dodge Roll has declared on Twitter that the upgrade has been filed for console certification, bringing in the DLC nearer to release.

Originally released back in 2016 for its PlayStation 4 along with Windows, developer Dodge Roll has brought the game to Linux, Mac, Xbox One, along with also the Nintendo Switch, as well as releasing a completely free Supply Drop Update that gifted players with new weapons and space designs.

As shown by a blog post on Enter the Gungeon‘s Steam webpage, the Advanced Gungeons & Draguns upgrade will provide players with “quality of lifestyle updates” including “new chambers, NPCs, keys, plus a new mini-boss” as well as “hundreds of new and much more powerful synergies, a lot of new guns and items, and getting revenge on the Dungeon’s hated resident, our newest supervisor. ” The site article goes on to say that these modifications will make the game easier and more accessible for players that found earlier variants of this game “too difficult, too stingy, or too slow,” while “keeping alternatives, for players that really engage with all the problem of this game. ”

Before this season, some enthusiasts began to grow mad with Dodge Roll for not supplying any sort of launch window to the update. Considering Reddit, Dodge Roll employee Brent Sodman wrote a letter to players explaining the reasons why Advanced Gungeons & Draguns was delayed, mentioning complexities with the game’s Nintendo Switch port as the primary reason for the delay. Even though Dodge Roll has not provided a launch date for Advanced Gungeons & Draguns, the simple fact that the update was submitted to console certification suggests that players won’t even need to wait considerably longer.
