Now NPD Analyst Mat Piscatella published a new blog post producing his forecast for the US marketplace in the holiday season 2018, and for the whole year.

According to Piscatellait’ll be a very tight race for both most games, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to be the best-selling game (in dollar earnings ) of the fourth quarter and the full calendar year, beating Call of Duty: Black Ops 4Battlefield V, NBA 2K19 and Far Cry 5 will complete the top-5.

and Super Smash Bros.. Ultimate‘therefore launches will also be called to push the Nintendo Switch into the top-selling (in units) place for consoles for the the Holidays quarter and the complete year.

Piscatella also forecasts that the installed base of PS4 along with Xbox One can probably surpass the PS2 and original Xbox in equal time period by 6 percent, which of their PS3 and Xbox 360 by 30 percent.

PS4, Xbox One, and also Switch should all sell at least four thousand units in 2018 in the USA. Total earnings of those three consoles united must be around 17.5 million components, which is the highest total achieved from the industry marketplace since 2012.
