Before now, Playtonic Games created a new blog post on their site to allow fans know if they could expect to see more information coming into their own 2017 platformer Yooka-Laylee.
When Yooka-Laylee was Kickstarted, one of the campaign’s notable stretch goals involved eventually incorporating a 64-bit resolution style as a callback into the N64 platformer Banjo-Kazooie. Though this new visual filter has yet to be released, Playtonic now provided the first image of Yooka-Laylee in this arrangement, which you can see in the header image at the peak of the page.
Playtonic also said that they’re currently working on finishing the developer commentary series, which was another stretch target for the job, while also toiling away on another extra content. While Playtonic didn’t supply a release window for if all these updates may be coming into Yooka-Laylee, they did state that they expect to have it out in the “future”.
Lastly, for those who are wanting to pick up Yooka-Laylee on Switch, the game is now discounted by 25% for the remainder of the week until July 13. Along with Switch, Yooka-Laylee is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and Linux.
