PS4, Xbox One

After a few trailers which showcased the game’s graphics and environment, today Rockstar Games gave viewers a deep dive to Red Dead Redemption 2 using its first ever gameplay video, and awarded the amazing images that the trailer revealed to audiences today, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to know that the footage has been recorded through the enhanced capacities of PS4 Guru.

As stated by the PlayStation Blog, the new footage released by Rockstar Games today for Red Dead Redemption 2 was captured “from in-game footage PlayStation 4 Pro” and was verified to be displayed in 4K, though no specific details were provided regarding the manufacturing method of its 4K visuals (which probably would not be native, but possibly employ checkerboard creating or some similar graphics process).

Besides this belief that the game will likely support PS4 Guru visual enhancements, Red Dead Redemption 2 will even support the ability to exhibit 4K visuals and HDR on Xbox One X, so owners of either enhanced console may reap the advantages that Rockstar will have on offer using Red Dead Redemption 2.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release for PS4 and Xbox One on October 26th, 2018.  If you have yet to pick up a copy of the game, there’s still time to pre-order the game onto Amazon before its release this autumn.

All support helps keep DualShockers as a standalone, independent platform for less-mainstream opinions and news coverage.
